Yesterday our city was slammed by a tornado. Our neighborhood did not recieve any significant damage. The children slept peacefully as the storm hit just a few miles from our home. We heard the sirens but did not go to our "safe place". After seeing the devestation so close to home I am sure next time we will not take the warning so lightly. The above photos are within 3- 4 miles of our house.
Many businesses recieved major damage. Our daily life will be impacted by the effects of the storm. Thankfully no lives were lost. However, it is hard to look at the damage and not think of what is lost.
I feel very blessed to have all my family safe.
